Yonder is a financial membership platform combining credit and debit in one product, designed to be fair, flexible, and enjoyable. The company has grown from concept to a fully regulated financial product with a 4.5 TrustPilot rating, recently launching features like a debit card, free membership tier, and Yonder Flights for using points on any airline globally. As a Product Designer, you'll join a small, design-forward squad consisting of a senior product manager, two engineers, and yourself. Design carries real weight at Yonder and sits at the centre of decision-making. You'll work on some of the company's most important problems, taking work from early concepts through to shipping in members' hands. Key responsibilities include: - Turning complex financial problems into simple, intuitive experiences for mobile-first users - Crafting beautiful, premium-feeling products that members love using, with obsessive attention to craft, typography, layout, colour, spacing, hierarchy, and motion - Running user research alongside your PM, testing concepts and running usability sessions, eventually leading your own research projects - Working collaboratively in the open with your PM and engineers from first sketch to final product - Balancing speed with polish—knowing when to ship scrappy ideas to learn versus when to slow down for detail refinement - Contributing to and refining the design system to help the team move fast without losing consistency or quality You'll have strong support from Craig (VP of Design) and senior designers as you grow. Design crits happen weekly across squads. The role expects you to care deeply about quality and detail, as much as the larger ambition driving the product. Yonder is office-first, based in Shoreditch, London (with a Cardiff office). You'll be expected in the office at least three days per week, with everyone coming in on Mondays. Beyond that, flexibility is offered. Requirements: - A few years of product design experience, with at least the last couple spent working on digital products and shipping work people use - Exceptional craft skills: typography, layout, colour, spacing, hierarchy, motion—visual execution is where you stand out - Experience designing for mobile (ideally native mobile, but strong digital interface design with mobile-first thinking is acceptable) - End-to-end involvement mindset: you want to be part of every stage from talking to members and shaping ideas to sweating final details - Comfort with research and willingness to grow across research, content, and copywriting with support - Strong communication and collaboration skills; you share early, bring people into your process, and see engineers and PMs as creative partners - Openness to feedback; you ask for it, take it well, and act on it - Curiosity about new tools and ways of working, including AI applications in design - Focus on impact over output; you care whether shipped features actually help members Not a fit if you prefer being told exactly what to do, working solo, fully remote arrangements, or need months to polish a single project before shipping.
