Anthropic is seeking a Product Counsel to serve as a hands-on legal partner to teams building Claude for consumers and businesses. This is a generalist legal role focused on providing clear, practical guidance across Claude's apps, subscriptions, growth programs, and enterprise offerings. Key responsibilities include partnering with Product, Engineering, Design, and cross-functional teams to provide legal guidance from early-stage ideas through product launch. You will review product launches across consumer and enterprise offerings, identify issues early, and help teams navigate forward. You'll advise on subscriptions, pricing, promotions, billing, and growth programs while ensuring compliance with consumer protection and marketing regulations. The role involves supporting enterprise and regulated-industry products on topics such as admin controls, customer commitments, and enterprise readiness. You will draft and review user-facing terms, disclosures, in-product copy, and marketing claims. A key part of the role is coordinating with privacy, commercial, IP, safety, and other specialists to provide integrated answers to product partners. You'll build guides, templates, and AI-powered workflows to streamline routine questions and free up capacity for novel legal issues. The role requires flexibility to pick up new areas as priorities shift and to support incidents and escalations. Anthropics's mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems that are safe and beneficial for users and society. The company is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders.
