Aescape is a New York-based physical AI and robotics company that combines real-time body mapping, advanced robotics, and proprietary software to deliver personalized bodywork and recovery solutions. The company partners with leading fitness, hospitality, and wellness brands including Equinox, Life Time, Marriott, Hilton, and Four Seasons.
As Procurement Specialist, you will own procurement activities across 2 programs, 12 product lines, and 400+ components, managing relationships with 30+ global suppliers and Tier-1 manufacturing partners. Your core responsibilities include:
**Procurement & Vendor Management:** Issue and manage purchase orders for finished goods, spare parts, tooling, and raw materials to meet production schedules. Foster strong relationships with key suppliers and contract manufacturers. Identify supplier risk and drive resolution of shortages, delivery issues, and non-conformances. Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, quality, finance, and product teams. Support supplier vetting, onboarding, and qualification of alternate sources.
**Cost Analysis & Negotiation:** Maintain accuracy of pricing, lead times, and terms across all programs and suppliers. Create and execute RFQs and spot buys. Suggest negotiation tactics and quote analyses to support make/buy decisions. Drive cost-down opportunities through negotiation, alternate sourcing, and spec alignment. Track and report BOM costs.
**New Product Introduction (NPI):** Drive sourcing of parts for new products in partnership with engineering and product teams. Own clear-to-build material readiness processes for prototype and production builds. Plan phase-in/phase-out of components while maintaining sufficient inventory. Track long-lead and critical-path components to maintain 100% line-up status.
You bring 3+ years of global procurement, sourcing, or supply chain experience in high-volume, high-mix hardware or manufacturing environments. You have working technical knowledge of mechatronic systems commodities (metals, injection molding, off-the-shelf components). You're familiar with product development lifecycles and design/document change control. You have strong analytical skills, ERP system experience (NetSuite a plus), and exceptional Excel proficiency. PLM system experience (Arena a plus) or ability to ramp quickly is valued. You thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments with excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
