Volta is a vertically integrated AI infrastructure platform building compute utilities at scale. The Procurement Manager role owns end-to-end procurement for Volta's Nordics project, a critical infrastructure initiative. You will manage long-lead equipment packages including generators, switchgear, and cooling systems—items that directly impact project schedules.
Key responsibilities include: developing and executing procurement strategy from initial planning through site delivery; managing complex tenders and negotiations with internal contracts leadership; expediting manufacturing and logistics against fixed project timelines; overseeing supplier performance, quality inspections, and factory acceptance testing; tracking procurement status transparently against baseline schedules; coordinating customs clearance, shipping, and final site logistics; and feeding market intelligence back to Volta's procurement leadership to inform fleet category strategies.
You will be embedded within the project team, carrying a functional reporting line to Volta's procurement leadership while owning project execution end-to-end. This role requires deep experience procuring long-lead electrical and mechanical equipment on data center or major capital projects. You must have a proven track record negotiating with suppliers, expediting critical packages against fixed dates, and managing complex logistics. Familiarity with Nordic supply chains and logistics is valuable. The role requires willingness to be based in the Nordics through project delivery.
