Salary: USD 80,000 - 120,000 / annual

Voyager Technologies (formerly Astrobotic Technologies, now Lunar Systems division) is a space, defense, and national security technology company developing mission-critical solutions for aerospace and government applications. The Procurement Engineer will support the acquisition of goods and services for Lunar Systems operations through effective management of source selection, purchase commitments, negotiations, and supplier relationships. Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain, this hybrid Pittsburgh-based role is part of the Supply Chain Department. Key responsibilities include: - Sourcing all types of goods and services for Lunar Systems, including flight-grade and engineering avionics, mechanical and electronic components, ground support equipment, engineering analysis services, and manufacturing tools - Conducting negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms, pricing, and schedules - Performing source selection based on established best-value criteria - Interpreting engineering data (specifications, drawings, statements of work) to facilitate communication between internal teams and suppliers - Collaborating with the Engineering Design Department on critical component features and alternate part identification - Coordinating with internal customers to identify supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies - Managing supplier quality activities including qualification, performance oversight, and relationship development - Ensuring program requirements are prioritized and executed to meet timelines Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in electrical, electromechanical, mechanical, aerospace, or industrial engineering (or supply chain) with 5+ years supply chain experience, OR associate degree with 7+ years experience. Demonstrated negotiation skills, strong written/verbal communication, analytical problem-solving, organizational skills, and familiarity with procurement management and ERP systems required. Ability to work in fast-paced, dynamic environments essential. Preferred: aerospace/DOD industry experience and familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FARs) and NASA procurement requirements. Travel up to 10% including possible overnight stays.
