As Procurement Director for the Mid Market segment in the UK, you will own end-to-end service delivery, building trust and robust action plans with finance and procurement executives. You will develop and communicate the Mid Market procurement vision for the UK, set performance targets, and build a function that customers rely on for delivery.
Key responsibilities include: developing personalized procurement strategies for Mid Market accounts and building scalable playbooks; executing strategic sourcing plans and negotiating complex SaaS deals; leading cross-functional teams to implement supplier relationship management strategies; and leveraging Vertice's agentic workflows and AI-driven insights to streamline negotiation prep and eliminate manual admin.
You bring 5+ years of procurement, strategic sourcing, vendor management, or consulting experience. You have deep fluency in the SaaS business model and ecosystem. You are customer-obsessed with a proven track record delivering results for mid-sized organizations, combining superb listening skills with the ability to uncover true customer objectives. You communicate clearly and confidently in writing, conversation, and presentations to senior stakeholders. You actively experiment with AI tools and are excited to work in a business modernizing procurement.
This is a genuine opportunity to build the Mid Market procurement function from the ground up with real autonomy over strategy and delivery, positioned at the center of Vertice's rapid scaling in a core segment.
