Salary: USD 135,000 - 200,000 / annual

Following a $1.37B Series D at a $7.87B valuation, Hadrian is rapidly expanding manufacturing footprint and scaling its Factory-as-a-Service platform.
As Process Qualification Engineer for Additive Manufacturing, you will own quality and qualification for additive manufacturing processes—a critical bottleneck limiting industry-wide adoption. This is a highly technical, independent role where you'll be the backbone of proving out processes and hardware.
Key responsibilities include: owning and executing first article inspection plans for additive hardware, qualification validation, and implementation; defining control plans and ensuring specification compliance across powder, build, and post-processing steps; supporting root cause analysis and corrective actions for additive builds and hardware issues; serving as primary NDE (non-destructive evaluation) owner, leading development of new inspection methods as capabilities grow; partnering with quality teams to define inspection plans, acceptance criteria, and sampling strategies; overseeing quality documentation and process control; and serving as point of contact for quality and supply chain, working with external vendors on special process control, qualification, and continuous improvement.
Required qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline; 5+ years in quality, qualification, or NDE-focused roles in manufacturing (additive manufacturing experience strongly preferred); hands-on experience developing and executing first article inspection plans and qualification packages; working knowledge of NDE methods (CT, X-ray, penetrant, ultrasonic inspection) and validation; experience writing process control documentation and cross-functional collaboration.
Desirable experience includes: managing supplier or vendor quality relationships (powder, post-processing, coatings); statistical sampling and measurement system analysis; production scale-up or new process introduction in high-rate manufacturing; aerospace, aviation, defense, or energy industry background; familiarity with NADCAP, AMS7000 series, AS9100, ASTM/AMS additive manufacturing specifications; fracture control classification knowledge.
