Voyager Technologies is seeking a Process Engineering Manager to lead manufacturing process excellence and documentation standards for solid rocket motor and energetic materials production. Based in Pueblo, CO, this role reports to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager and owns the complete process lifecycle from development through production qualification and sustained manufacturing. You will lead a team of 5+ process engineers and senior process engineers, establishing and enforcing Voyager's documentation standard across all SOPs, work instructions, and process specifications. In energetic materials manufacturing, process qualification is the gateway to production—you will define process controls, acceptance criteria, and production readiness gates that certify processes are ready for full-rate production, then sustain and continuously improve those processes throughout their lifecycle. Key responsibilities include: owning end-to-end process lifecycle management; developing and mentoring process engineering team members with intentional knowledge transfer and capability building; enforcing process plan compliance and serving as the authoritative decision-maker on deviations and corrective actions; standardizing existing SOPs into a unified documentation system; implementing Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to drive measurable improvements in safety, quality, reliability, cost, and throughput; developing key process performance metrics (yield, defect rates, cycle time, SOP compliance); preparing technical reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders; and collaborating cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Safety, and Compliance teams. This role requires 5–8 years of hands-on process and manufacturing engineering experience, ideally in energetic materials, solid rocket motors, or similar mission-critical manufacturing environments. You will be responsible for building a high-performance culture oriented around documentation quality, process rigor, safety, and continuous improvement, with a clear growth path toward sub-team management as the organization scales.
