Rohlik Group is Europe's leading online grocery delivery service, operating a network of fulfillment centers across 15+ cities. The Automation team designs and implements innovative processes, equipment, and automation solutions that drive scalability and efficiency across the fulfillment network.
As a Process Engineer, you will own end-to-end improvement projects across Rohlik's fulfillment operations. You will identify opportunities to optimize processes through automation or redesign, spanning both hardware (robotics, automated material handling, conveyor systems, packing equipment) and software (control logic, orchestration optimization). Your work will directly impact cost, throughput, quality, and safety across the network.
Key responsibilities include:
- Identifying improvement potential on the warehouse floor, in operational data, and through collaboration with operations teams
- Developing business cases for each opportunity: quantifying throughput gains, labor impact, payback periods, and capex/opex estimates
- Owning full solution delivery end-to-end, whether physical automation, software changes, or hybrid approaches
- Leading implementation from design through testing, installation, integration, and piloting
- Coordinating internal teams, vendors, and contractors to deliver working solutions on-site
- Standardizing delivered work into reusable templates, playbooks, and best practices
- Partnering with Procurement and Operations across the full project lifecycle
- Translating process and performance data into prioritized improvement opportunities for site and regional leadership

REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree in engineering, technical/analytical field (mechanical, mechatronics, industrial engineering, logistics), or equivalent completed vocational training (Ausbildung) / relevant hands-on experience
- 3+ years of experience in warehouse automation (robotics, AMRs, AutoStore, sorters, conveyors, packing systems) and process improvement, including end-to-end project ownership from concept to handover
- Strong analytical skills: spreadsheet business modeling and floor-level process evaluation
- Proven project management ability to align Operations, Engineering, Finance, and external vendors
- Strong negotiation and engagement skills with third-party vendors and contractors
- Broad interest in both hardware and software sides of automation
- Professional working proficiency in English (written and spoken)
- Willingness to spend regular time on-site at fulfillment centers
Nice to have: Familiarity with control logic, orchestration software, or WMS integration; working knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
