Salary: USD 146,000 - 194,000 / annual

Anduril Industries is seeking a Process Engineer to join the Maritime team in Santa Ana, CA. The Maritime division develops autonomous vehicles (sub-surface and surface) and integrated defense systems powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system for command and control. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing and optimizing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs while supporting continuous improvement initiatives. You will develop process flows for complex assemblies, breaking them into logical sub-assemblies and sub-processes. You'll create comprehensive manufacturing documentation including work instructions, quality plans, and inspection requirements to enable hardware production at scale. Key responsibilities include: - Developing detailed process flows and manufacturing documentation for electromechanical hardware - Collaborating with contract manufacturers across metallic manufacturing, assembly, and other disciplines to establish repeatable processes for both rapid prototyping and production scaling - Working hands-on with technicians and engineers to build and refine prototype hardware - Contributing to end-customer hardware design, including interconnects, board fabrication, and inspection procedures - Traveling to supplier facilities for sourcing, troubleshooting production issues, and implementing quality procedures Required qualifications include 8+ years of experience in manufacturing or electromechanical hardware design, demonstrated ability to deliver process improvements in resource-constrained environments, and hands-on team leadership experience. You must have personal experience physically manufacturing hardware through machining, fabrication, soldering, assembly, or similar methods. U.S. Secret security clearance eligibility is required. Preferred qualifications include a degree in engineering or related technical field, PCBA fabrication experience with SMT processes, hands-on experience with autonomous vehicles or flight control systems, and software scripting capability.
