Ripple is seeking a Privacy Senior Manager to strengthen, scale, and manage the programmatic and day-to-day activities of the Global Privacy Program. This is a proven individual contributor role focused on driving privacy initiatives and elevating operational standards globally.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing day-to-day global privacy operations: processing data subject requests, improving processes, updating inventory and data mapping, and leading privacy impact assessments
- Supporting development and operationalization of the global privacy program, including updating policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements
- Staying informed about relevant global privacy legislation and leading implementation of new requirements
- Developing and conducting privacy training to ensure organizational adoption
- Maintaining program metrics to proactively identify risks and trends
- Supporting and maintaining privacy tools
- Preparing ad-hoc and quarterly reports, presentation slides, and program materials for employees, subsidiaries, and senior leadership
- Providing operational support to the Regulatory Compliance team on licensing, operational resilience, outsourcing, and related matters

The company operates in a fast-paced startup environment with experienced industry leaders. The role offers flexibility with in-office collaboration required for 10+ days per month, allowing managers and teams to decide when they come in.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
- 6-8+ years of privacy program management experience (preference given to candidates with fintech or crypto industry experience)
- Experience drafting and reviewing privacy-related contract terms
- Experience supporting global privacy initiatives, including understanding of US state privacy laws, EU GDPR, UK data protection regulations, and other international privacy regimes
- Strong analytical, organizational, and program management skills with attention to detail
- Ability to adapt to shifting priorities, work well under pressure, and adhere to deadlines
- Strong communication skills (presentation, writing, speaking) and interpersonal abilities, including ability to tailor content to specific audiences and break down complex requirements into actionable items
- Commercially-minded team player who embraces uncertainty and excels at solving complex privacy issues within the financial services sector
- Comfortable completing tasks independently in a team environment with minimal supervision
- Privacy certification (preferred/required)
