Okta is seeking a Principal Technical Program Manager to join the Engineering TPM Team. In this role, you will partner across Engineering, Security, Legal, Compliance, Product Management, and Customer Support to build and deliver key strategic engineering initiatives. You will serve as the point person for clarifying strategic goals and outlining execution plans, working both within and across teams to prioritize and execute key objectives.
Key responsibilities include structuring and running continuous and time-bound engineering initiatives, clarifying priorities, enabling deliverable execution, and providing continuous transparency. You will project manage initiatives across multiple teams, taking a hands-on approach to unblock progress and introduce efficiencies. You will champion agile best practices, build alignment across teams, and lead the introduction of new processes and workflows in an iterative manner. Risk anticipation and mitigation are critical, as is providing clear transparency on Federal initiatives.
You will bring a minimum of 7 years of hands-on technical project management experience in SaaS product development environments, working directly with engineers. Strong leadership skills and the ability to influence without authority are essential. You should have experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives independently with minimal supervision, and strong technical aptitude from working directly with software, test, and system engineers. Experience with FedRAMP, IL, or other compliance/security initiatives within engineering organizations is preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required, with the ability to present effectively to teams across locations and to C-level executives.
This position requires US Person status and the ability to access Impact Level 4 & 5 (IL4 and IL5) data as defined by the Department of Defense Cloud Computing Security Requirements Guide. You must be able to submit documentation establishing US Person status upon hire.
