GitLab is seeking a Principal Technical Program Manager to join its all-remote R&D PMO team. In this role, you will own complex, end-to-end programs central to GitLab's AI-powered DevSecOps strategy, driving high-priority initiatives across product, engineering, data, and security teams. You will serve as the bridge between strategic vision and execution, working closely with executive leaders and cross-functional stakeholders. Key responsibilities include leading technical programs from inception through scaled adoption, translating strategic vision into actionable roadmaps, coordinating distributed teams across time zones using asynchronous communication, developing comprehensive program plans with proactive risk mitigation, and partnering with customer success teams on communication and operational workflows. Example programs include leading the GitLab Duo Agent Platform from GA through enterprise adoption (including customer onboarding, support models, and billing integration), delivering data-intensive platform initiatives for developer productivity and enterprise analytics, driving infrastructure modernization for scalability, and orchestrating security and compliance initiatives. You will bring proven experience leading technical programs in product, engineering, data, or security environments with demonstrated success delivering complex initiatives at scale. You have a strong background in SaaS, cloud infrastructure, or DevOps technology companies, with the ability to quickly master the GitLab platform and AI/ML initiatives. You excel at defining strategy and creating clarity within ambiguity, influencing at division and company-wide scale, and driving cross-functional leadership with engineering, product, and security teams. Outstanding communication skills—particularly asynchronous collaboration and executive reporting—are essential, along with expertise in high-level stakeholder management including board and enterprise customer engagement.
