CesiumAstro is seeking a Principal Quality Engineer to lead quality and process improvement initiatives across the organization. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining quality management systems (QMS) directives focused on systematic problem-solving, process quality engineering, and lean manufacturing principles.
Key responsibilities include:
- Implementing process improvement tactics including lean manufacturing, Six Sigma methodology, and Kaizen
- Collecting and analyzing data on current operating procedures to identify optimization opportunities
- Establishing and updating central quality directives and best practices across the organization
- Interfacing with cross-functional teams including management, software/hardware engineering, and manufacturing
- Driving a corrective action culture and continuous improvement mindset
- Optimizing production systems using lessons learned (LL) methodology and lean/Six Sigma principles
- Serving as a subject matter expert on quality engineering and process optimization
The role is multi-dimensional, requiring strong collaboration with internal stakeholders to translate quality improvements into operational excellence. You will work in a dynamic, cross-functional environment where hands-on problem-solving and autonomous work are valued.
