Upvest is a fintech infrastructure company enabling banks and financial institutions to offer investment products through an easy-to-integrate Investment API. The company partners with Europe's leading fintechs including Revolut, N26, and DKB, and is backed by top-tier investors like Bessemer Venture Partners, BlackRock, and Hedosophia. As Principal Launch Manager, you will lead Upvest's most complex, high-stakes launches with established banks across Germany and Europe. You own end-to-end delivery for full launch programs spanning scoping, implementation, and asset migrations from incumbent custodians. You serve as the executive-facing driver, synthesizing deep product knowledge with operational excellence while running steering committees with bank and Upvest executives. Key responsibilities include: owning bank-grade programs end-to-end; supporting or leading custody asset migrations (equities, ETFs, mutual funds); ensuring meticulous planning, execution, and testing; creating repeatable enterprise client launch experiences; driving day-to-day execution across Engineering, Product, Operations, and Compliance; running steering sessions with senior bank stakeholders; and building trusted client relationships with a partnership mindset. You bring a proven track record leading complex, multi-entity programs for tier-1 banks or large financial institutions, ideally with custody, brokerage, post-trade, or securities operations experience. Management consulting background is valued. You demonstrate executive communication skills, calm leadership under pressure, and expert end-to-end project management capabilities. You have deep domain fluency in post-trade and custody (settlement, corporate actions, reconciliations, tax/cost basis, reporting) and familiarity with standards like SWIFT MT/MX/ISO 20022. You possess extensive migrations experience including in-specie/on-book transfers, large-scale data moves, reconciliation at scale, and structured cutovers. You understand regulatory frameworks (MiFID II, CSDR, AML/KYC, outsourcing guidelines) and can embed controls into delivery plans. Fluency in English and German (written and verbal) is required. Upvest offers 30 days annual leave, sports benefits, professional coaching access, remote work flexibility (up to 183 days annually abroad), and a one-month paid sabbatical after every 4 years. You'll work from Berlin, London, or Tallinn on a hybrid or remote basis across Europe, with a personal development budget and modern technology stack.
