Anduril Industries, a defense technology company transforming military capabilities through advanced AI and autonomy, seeks a Principal Global Sourcing Manager for Battery Pack (High Voltage Systems). This is a strategic, high-impact role responsible for end-to-end sourcing and supply chain management of battery commodities across Anduril's product portfolio. You will serve as the domain expert and primary escalation point for battery sourcing, developing and executing comprehensive commodity strategies focused on cost reduction, quality improvement, and supply chain resilience. Key responsibilities include: • Develop and execute battery commodity strategies, ensuring cost optimization, quality improvement, and supply chain resilience • Lead RFI/RFQ/RFP processes and strategic sourcing initiatives for battery components and systems • Own business relationships with contract manufacturers, managing continuity of supply, risk mitigation, cost negotiations, and NPI-to-MP execution • Partner with engineering teams to influence technical design specifications and customize manufacturing requirements • Perform detailed TCO (total cost of ownership) analysis on supplier quotes, diving deep into supply chain elements for data-driven decisions • Negotiate key supplier agreements establishing best-in-class pricing, quality, flexibility, delivery, and service terms • Manage supplier performance across delivery, quality, cost, and innovation metrics • Conduct technology reviews with executive staff and guide product strategy throughout the lifecycle • Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve problems, advance new supplier offerings, and support prototype and build milestones • Influence contract manufacturers' processes, CapEx decisions, and technology roadmaps Required: Bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, or related technical field; 12+ years in battery manufacturing commodity management and/or sourcing engineering; ability to travel up to 50%; willingness to relocate to Costa Mesa, CA for on-site work. Preferred: Electrical/electronics engineering background; experience in defense, aerospace, automotive, or high-tech industries; expertise in TCO analysis; strategic thinking on commodity roadmaps; proven cross-functional leadership; ability to obtain and maintain U.S. TS/SCI clearance.
