Carma is a digital pre-owned car dealership disrupting the Australian automotive industry by delivering a seamless, hassle-free car buying experience. The company manages the entire value chain in-house, from engineering and reconditioning to marketing and customer delivery. The Pre-Delivery Manager leads the final stage of Carma's production lifecycle, overseeing the transition of vehicles from work-in-progress to customer-ready condition. This is a newly created, high-visibility operational role based at the brand-new Granville, Sydney facility. Key Responsibilities: - Own throughput, quality, and flow targets; keep vehicles moving and hit delivery targets - Monitor workflows proactively to identify disruptions early—growing queues, delays, rework—before they escalate into systemic failures - Investigate root causes of operational friction rather than treating surface-level symptoms; ensure permanent, effective solutions - Refine work methods continuously, eliminating waste and elevating output quality - Maintain rigorous adherence to established processes and quality benchmarks across the team - Lead high-performance teams by setting clear expectations, building capability, and holding people accountable to peak-performance standards - Identify roadblocks outside immediate control and escalate promptly to ensure system-level issues are resolved - Engage, direct, and support teams in real time on the production floor Requirements: - Proven experience leading high-output teams in fast-paced production, logistics, pre-delivery, or automotive environments - Demonstrated ability to drive performance through people—inspiring teams rather than just managing tasks - Capability to set clear standards, maintain high energy, and confidently address underperformance - Sharp eye for detail and natural instinct for identifying root causes of problems - Ability to pivot quickly, adapt easily, and stay calm under pressure in rapid-fire environments - Exposure to lean operations or continuous improvement methodologies (Kaizen, Six Sigma experience highly valued) - Confidence operating on the production floor, engaging and supporting teams in real time - Valid NSW Driver's Licence
