Veeva Systems is seeking a Practice Manager for Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) to lead a Professional Services team of EHS and Vault Platform experts in Houston, TX. This is a people management role within a product-first, mission-driven organization that has become a public benefit corporation.
In this position, you will manage a team of implementation consultants and technical specialists, driving customer success through software implementation delivery. Your core responsibilities include:
**Team Leadership & Development**: Recruit, onboard, coach, and retain top talent. Manage team capacity, staffing plans, and career growth trajectories. Build a high-performing culture focused on implementation excellence and operational efficiency.
**Services Delivery**: Lead key customer engagements as an executive resource (up to 25% of your time), serving as the escalation point for complex customer conversations. Establish prescriptive scoping and project delivery methodologies to standardize the EHS implementation experience.
**Operational Excellence**: Drive accountability across the team. Proactively identify delivery risks, bottlenecks, and operational gaps, taking direct action to resolve them. Manage resource allocation and project timelines to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
**Cross-Functional Collaboration**: Partner closely with Sales, Strategy, Product Management, and Customer Success teams to support key deals, ensure early-adopter success, and feed real-world project feedback into product design. Contribute to the broader Services leadership team's vision for delivery automation and practice evolution.
**Practice Innovation**: Identify opportunities for delivery automation, tech-enabled consulting, and process improvements. Accelerate Veeva's 2030 Services Vision by enforcing packaged solutions and standardized best practices.
You'll need 8+ years of enterprise cloud implementation experience at a software vendor or consulting firm, with 4+ years of direct people management leading software implementation or technical teams. Deep domain expertise in Environmental Health & Safety, operational risk, and regulatory compliance is essential. You should be comfortable traveling up to 25% of the time.
