Salary: USD 165,000 - 185,000 / annual
Infleqtion seeks a Portfolio Manager for Quantum Software to lead multi-disciplinary scientific and engineering teams in delivering R&D excellence and bringing quantum technology to market. This role manages a complex portfolio of projects, coordinating resources across quantum computing initiatives while maintaining cohesion across the program.
Key responsibilities include: managing project portfolios encompassing purchases, subcontracts, cost, schedule, status, staffing, reporting, and risk management; preparing schedules and budgets in collaboration with technical leads and stakeholders; identifying dependencies between software projects; assessing and managing subcontractor performance; coordinating resources across quantum projects and indirectly managing/influencing project team members to ensure on-time delivery; supporting proposal development and contract updates with technical volumes, SOWs, and project management plans; monitoring scope of work to maintain customer satisfaction; engaging with technical leaders to ensure objectives are appropriately planned and resourced; conducting risk analysis and developing mitigation strategies; contributing to company-wide business forecasts and technology/product roadmaps; and establishing and communicating project schedules defining critical paths.
Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, physics, or related field (Master's, PhD, or advanced certification preferred); 2+ years of project/program management experience with sensing, communications, computing, or networking solutions; 1+ years of direct experience supporting US government-funded projects; hands-on experience with complex computational or software projects; proficiency with advanced schedules, budgets, and tracking using MS Project and Excel or similar tools; risk management experience; software development project experience (quantum technology a plus); ability to learn technical details of quantum software development; strong communication skills across all organizational levels; comfort in collaborative, cross-functional, matrixed environments; demonstrated leadership qualities; passion for solving hard technical problems; and ability to travel domestically and potentially internationally up to 10%.
