Benchling is an AI platform for biotech R&D used by over 200,000 scientists globally, including more than half of the world's top 50 biopharma companies. The company is rebuilding biotech for the AI era by enabling scientists to design experiments, capture structured data, and run AI agents directly in their workflows.
This senior individual contributor role owns the commercial performance of Benchling's Professional Services portfolio across EMEA, spanning bespoke strategic implementations, standardized packaged services, and the implementation partner ecosystem. The role does not manage implementation teams directly but owns the commercial motion, delivery frameworks, partner program, and capacity model that drive EMEA services success.
Key responsibilities include: owning EMEA services bookings across bespoke, packaged, and partner-delivered work; driving delivery quality on custom implementations for Strategic and SMB accounts; managing the scoping-to-delivery pipeline from qualification through SOW and handoff; setting standards for scoping quality, pricing, and margin governance; maximizing services attach rates with EMEA Sales; overseeing the packaged and standardized services portfolio; managing the partner lifecycle, enablement, and certification; defining joint delivery models between internal and partner consultants; and establishing KPIs for utilization, realization, margin, partner performance, and project velocity.
The ideal candidate brings 7+ years in Professional Services, Consulting, or Delivery with deep expertise owning complex commercial engagements end to end. Required qualifications include proven ownership of bookings, revenue, and margin outcomes; demonstrated ability to drive results and enforce standards across teams the role does not manage; experience with high-volume standardized services alongside custom enterprise engagements; demonstrable partner management and enablement experience; and EMEA market context. Commercial fluency in scoping, pricing, forecasting, and estimate-at-completion discipline is essential.
