Amperesand is building next-generation power infrastructure systems, including intelligent software-defined power equipment leveraging advanced medium-voltage solid-state transformer technology. The company is addressing a critical gap in power infrastructure modernization driven by surging electricity demand from AI, electric vehicles, and industrial growth.
The PLM Analyst will own day-to-day administration, configuration, and support of the Dassault Systèmes 3DEXPERIENCE (3DX) platform and its integrations with engineering, manufacturing, and business systems. This is the technical point of contact for design and manufacturing teams' PLM/PDM needs, ensuring CAD data, product information, and change/release workflows remain reliable as the company scales.
Key responsibilities include:
- Administer and configure the 3DEXPERIENCE platform (ENOVIA), managing users, roles, collaborative spaces, security contexts, and lifecycle states
- Support and troubleshoot CAD and PDM tools in the Dassault ecosystem (CATIA, SOLIDWORKS, DELMIA)
- Manage engineering data, BOM structures, and document control; support engineering change and release workflows (ECR/ECO)
- Configure, test, and document platform upgrades and patches; validate before production deployment
- Build and maintain integrations between 3DX and adjacent systems (ERP, MES, Entra ID SSO)
- Perform system monitoring, verify data integrity and availability, review logs, ensure scheduled jobs complete
- Lead problem-solving for PLM issues; coordinate with Dassault and other vendors for escalations
- Onboard and train engineering and manufacturing users; write and maintain technical and end-user documentation
- Partner with engineering leadership to gather feedback and improve PLM processes
- Track, prioritize, and resolve PLM-related requests through ticketing systems
- Follow data security, access control, and confidentiality procedures
The role requires working onsite five days per week in Reno, Nevada, and may include supporting users and systems on the factory floor.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience administering or supporting a PLM/PDM system in an engineering or manufacturing setting
- Working knowledge of CAD data management and at least one major CAD tool (CATIA and/or SOLIDWORKS)
- Understanding of engineering change and release processes, BOM management, and product data structures
- Familiarity with integrating PLM to ERP and/or manufacturing systems
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills; ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
- Ability to work independently and cross-functionally in a fast-paced, changing startup environment
- Must be able to work onsite five days per week
Bonus qualifications:
- Direct experience with Dassault Systèmes 3DEXPERIENCE / ENOVIA platform administration (strongly preferred); other enterprise PLM experience (Teamcenter, Windchill) considered
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering, or related field; or equivalent experience
- Dassault 3DEXPERIENCE / ENOVIA certification
- Experience with on-premises and/or 3DEXPERIENCE cloud (SaaS) deployments
- Scripting/configuration experience within 3DX platform (EKL, widgets, web services/REST APIs)
- Database experience (SQL/Oracle) for reporting or troubleshooting
- Exposure to Microsoft 365 / Entra ID for SSO and user provisioning
- Prior experience in a hardware, electronics, or manufacturing startup
