Etched is building specialized hardware infrastructure for frontier AI inference, co-designing chips, racks, software, and manufacturing to optimize throughput and latency. The Platform PLM BOM Analyst role is central to ensuring product data quality and consistency across the entire product lifecycle.
You will own BOM analysis, validation, and reconciliation across Siemens Teamcenter, contract manufacturer data, procurement systems, and as-built records. Your day-to-day work involves identifying and resolving product data discrepancies, maintaining accurate engineering-approved configurations, and developing dashboards and reports that provide visibility into BOM quality and manufacturing readiness.
Beyond tactical analysis, you'll partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance, and contract manufacturers to identify systemic opportunities for improvement. You'll help define business requirements for PLM enhancements, recommend scalable solutions, and support implementation of process improvements that reduce data errors and accelerate product readiness.
Key responsibilities include: analyzing BOMs for accuracy and completeness; identifying discrepancies across engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and as-built sources; developing reports, dashboards, and delta BOMs; supporting engineering change analysis and implementation tracking; partnering cross-functionally on data quality initiatives; and supporting Teamcenter testing and validation of new capabilities.
You should have 5–8 years of experience with product data, BOMs, PLM systems, manufacturing engineering, or configuration management in hardware product development. Strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and experience creating reports or dashboards are essential. Experience with Siemens Teamcenter, hardware manufacturing, engineering change processes, contract manufacturer workflows, ERP systems like NetSuite, or BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) is valued. The role is fully in-person at Etched's San Jose office (Santana Row), reflecting the company's emphasis on in-person collaboration and cross-disciplinary engineering.
