Sportradar is seeking a Platform Engineer to join the engineering enablement team and take a central role in building internal products that empower software teams across the organization. You will work on an Internal Developer Platform (IDP), a central CI/CD pipeline, an observability platform, and an infrastructure platform for containerized workloads.
In this role, you will design, automate, and scale resilient infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines optimized for rapid, secure delivery. You'll develop reusable frameworks and abstractions that remove friction from deploying, running, and monitoring services, enabling developers to focus on product creation. You'll drive adoption of engineering best practices by mentoring peers, shaping standards, and modernizing outdated processes. You'll contribute to automation initiatives to minimize manual tasks, reduce operational risk, and ensure consistency across legacy and new applications. You'll engage proactively with engineering teams to gather feedback and continuously evolve the platform, tooling, and developer experience.
Sportradar is a global sports technology company serving over 1,700 sports federations, media outlets, betting operators, and consumer platforms across 120 countries. The company operates engineering offices in Europe, Asia, and the US, with a collaborative, inclusive culture that includes Women in Tech and Pride groups. The role is office-first, with team members working on-site five days a week, though certain exemptions may apply depending on location.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience in software engineering with hands-on exposure to building and supporting production-grade systems
- Understanding of Kubernetes and cloud platforms (preferably AWS); comfortable deploying and operating scalable, resilient workloads
- Expertise in infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible, or similar) and a natural inclination toward automation
- Proficiency in scripting or programming languages (Python, Go, Bash, etc.)
- Comprehensive grasp of CI/CD pipelines, observability, and security best practices
- Collaborative and communicative; adept at mentoring teammates, advocating for modern engineering practices, and thriving in cross-functional squads
- Motivated by the opportunity to build internal platforms that abstract complexity and enhance developer productivity at scale
