You will join the Platform Architecture team as a Platform Architect / Forward Deployed Engineer. This is a hands-on technical role, not an advisory position. You will personally architect, deploy, and operate Kubernetes-based infrastructure inside customer cloud environments across AWS, Azure, and GCP. Your responsibilities span the full customer lifecycle: from early technical conversations in the sales cycle through proof-of-value builds, production go-live, and handoff to Customer Success.
You'll work in regulated, high-stakes environments—banks, insurers, government agencies—where standard SaaS deployment models don't apply. Your architectural decisions on infrastructure, security, and delivery directly impact whether multi-million-dollar deals close and remain successful.
Key responsibilities include:
- Architecting and deploying Kubernetes clusters, networking, and identity/security configurations inside customer environments (hands-on keyboard work, not just advisory)
- Engaging early in the sales cycle for technically complex or regulated deals
- Owning proof-of-value builds and carrying them through production go-live
- Serving as the technical authority in the room, making calls when R&D, sales, and customers disagree on feasibility
- Operating independently on ambiguous, high-stakes problems, using documentation and internal resources proactively
- Documenting and sharing lessons learned with fellow Platform Architects
- Traveling to customer sites for kickoffs, escalations, and team offsites as needed
You combine the architectural depth of a Sales Engineer with the hands-on execution rigor of a Customer Success Engineer.
