Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Classified Physical Security Specialist to join its growing team in Costa Mesa, California. This role is critical to ensuring the security of classified facilities supporting Anduril's most sensitive defense programs and contracts.
The Classified Physical Security Specialist serves as the technical expert and on-site operational lead for all secure facility operations, including Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs), Special Access Program Facilities (SAPFs), and classified open storage areas. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle management of secure spaces—from initial design through ongoing compliance—ensuring integrity and adherence to 32 CFR Part 117, Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs 703, 704, 705), and applicable Department of Defense policies.
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining construction schedules and coordinating security task scheduling with design and construction teams, ensuring stakeholder visibility into design revisions and issues
- Developing detailed facility status reports, system issue assessments, and compliance findings compiled into accessible trackers
- Managing security-related records and accreditation status in close collaboration with the security construction team
- Leading vendor relationships for sourcing, procurement, and integration of security hardware for ICD-705 construction efforts and retrofits
- Researching and implementing security-in-depth standards; actively participating in build meetings and daily site walkthroughs
- Reviewing design drawings for compliance and flagging non-compliance issues
- Overseeing installation, implementation, and maintenance of Intrusion Detection Systems and Access Control Systems compliant with UL2050, 32 CFR Part 117, ICD-705, and other government requirements
- Conducting SCIF, SAPF, and open storage area inspections during construction and ensuring completion of semiannual alarm testing and site inspections
- Resolving operational and technical security problems at classified facility construction sites and existing facilities
You will interface with numerous internal and external organizations including Anduril program teams, government program offices, real estate professionals, architects, general contractors, construction personnel, contracted site security managers, and other service providers. This role requires detailed knowledge of government policies applicable to secure facility construction and practical experience implementing this knowledge in a fast-paced, rapidly scaling environment encompassing both traditional office space and manufacturing facilities.
