Scopely, a leading mobile games and interactive entertainment company (home to MONOPOLY GO!, Pokémon GO, Stumble Guys, and others), is hiring a Performance Marketing Manager to join the Performance Marketing team on a remote basis. This role sits at the intersection of performance marketing, forecasting, competitive intelligence, and market research, supporting active and upcoming game titles from early planning through testing, soft launch, and global launch. You will build the analytical foundation behind user acquisition (UA) forecasts and growth plans. Key responsibilities include: • Develop first-pass performance marketing forecasts and supporting inputs for upcoming titles, including install curves, geo-tier views, channel assumptions, paid and organic assumptions, and launch phasing. • Build and maintain comparable game-peer sets based on genre, monetization model, platform, geo mix, audience, launch strategy, creative approach, and expected scale. • Develop and maintain dCPI benchmarks and degradation curves, combining Scopely historical performance, partner benchmarks, competitor data, and external market signals. • Support organic forecasting by developing assumptions around baseline organic demand, paid-driven lift, launch/IP halo, virality, and organic-to-paid ratios. • Build sensitivity analyses that make the impact of key assumptions clear and help teams understand the range of potential outcomes. • Track competitor UA investment, creative trends, app-store movement, channel activity, launch performance, and regional signals across relevant games and genres. • Produce recurring market-intelligence and competitive-pulse readouts that identify meaningful changes in the market and potential implications for upcoming titles. • Incorporate learnings from market research, beta acquisition, creative and audience testing, soft launch, and other pre-launch signals into forecast assumptions. • Support regional opportunity sizing and geo strategy, including differences in acquisition cost, scale, organic potential, and market dynamics. • Maintain clear assumption logs, source documentation, version history, confidence levels, and open questions so forecasts are auditable and reusable. • Partner closely with Performance Marketing, Product, Strategic Marketing, Finance, Analytics, and other stakeholders to gather inputs and pressure-test assumptions. • Proactively identify gaps, risks, or inconsistencies in forecasts and surface them before they become downstream planning issues. • Support ad hoc analyses and leadership requests with structured research, quantitative analysis, and clear first-pass readouts. • Help improve and standardize forecasting methodologies, benchmark libraries, and analytical processes over time. This is a highly analytical role for someone who enjoys working through ambiguity and can challenge, validate, and refine assumptions rather than taking inputs at face value. REQUIREMENTS: • Strong experience in performance marketing, growth, marketing analytics, strategy, market intelligence, or a similarly analytical role, ideally within mobile games, mobile apps, or another consumer digital business. • Strong understanding of mobile user acquisition fundamentals, including CPI, LTV, ROAS, retention, organic acquisition, channel mix, attribution, and marginal economics. • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to turn incomplete or ambiguous information into structured assumptions and useful recommendations. • Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills, including building and auditing analytical models, sensitivity analyses, and forecast frameworks. • Strong attention to detail and a high bar for model integrity, source quality, and assumption validation. • Ability to independently pressure-test data and assumptions rather than accepting outputs at face value. • Experience working with multiple data sources, including internal performance data, third-party market intelligence tools, partner benchmarks, and competitive research. • Ability to communicate analytical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Strong cross-functional working style and comfort partnering with teams across Marketing, Product, Finance, Analytics, and leadership. • Curiosity about the games market and a desire to understand why titles grow, why acquisition economics differ, and how launch dynamics evolve over time. • Ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams and operate effectively with limited oversight. • Comfortable using AI and other analytical tools to accelerate research and analysis, while maintaining independent judgment and thoroughly validating outputs. BONUS POINTS: • Avid gamer who understands products from a user's perspective. • Direct experience forecasting or supporting the launch of mobile games or consumer apps. • Experience with tools such as Sensor Tower, data.ai, AppMagic, Looker, Appsflyer, Adjust, or similar platforms. • Familiarity with global mobile UA markets and meaningful differences across the US, Tier 1 Western markets, Asia, and emerging regions. • Experience analyzing competitor launches, creative strategy, market sizing, or portfolio-level performance. • Familiarity with pre-launch testing, soft-launch methodology, or forecasting games with licensed or globally recognized IP.
