Vanta is seeking a People Systems Administrator to own the design, configuration, and optimization of Workday across the organization. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, People Systems, you will act as a trusted consultant and system expert, partnering with functional leaders across People, Payroll, Finance, IT, and Legal. Key responsibilities include: - Own the design and configuration of the Workday platform, leading implementation across Core HCM, Payroll, Benefits, Absence, and Time Tracking modules. You'll design business processes, security groups, condition rules, and calculated fields. - Serve as the primary technical expert for Workday enhancements, translating business requirements into scalable system solutions. Build administration frameworks including security role design, tenant and environment management, change control, testing protocols, and documentation. - Design reusable, scalable solutions rather than one-off fixes. Own change management for system changes, planning stakeholder communications, training, and enablement to ensure adoption. - Drive continuous improvement by proactively analyzing Workday processes, integrations, and user interfaces to surface inefficiencies. Stay ahead of the Workday roadmap and release cycles, assess feature impact, run regression testing, and turn new functionality into concrete improvements. - Identify manual lift across People Ops and proactively solve it rather than waiting for requests. Required qualifications: 5+ years in HRIS/People Systems with significant hands-on Workday configuration and administration. Demonstrated depth in at least one of Payroll, Benefits, or Absence modules, with working knowledge of the others. Strong command of Workday business process framework, security configuration, condition rules, and calculated fields. Proven experience owning complex systems initiatives end-to-end. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. Openness to using AI to amplify skills and strengthen work.
