Workstream is building an all-in-one HR, payroll, and hiring platform purpose-built for the hourly workforce. As a Series B company backed by Founders Fund, BOND, and Coatue, Workstream is rapidly expanding its product portfolio.
In this role, you will be a core member of an AI-native Service organization delivering accurate, timely, and customer-centric payroll support. You'll combine payroll expertise with strong customer service skills, sound judgment, and a passion for continuous improvement. Key responsibilities include responding to customer questions and investigating issues, preparing regular payrolls using customer-provided data, reviewing payroll data for discrepancies while following established controls, and delivering accurate and timely payroll services.
You will handle sensitive payroll and employee information with high confidentiality standards, leverage AI-enabled tools and automated workflows to improve speed and quality, and apply human judgment to review and validate AI-generated recommendations. You'll also identify recurring customer issues and manual processes that could be improved through automation, collaborating closely with Engineering, Product, and Design teams to streamline workflows and scale operations.
The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and customer-focused. You take ownership of issues from start to finish, communicate clearly, and adapt quickly to new tools and processes. You understand the critical importance of accuracy, compliance, and careful human oversight in payroll while being excited about AI and automation potential.
This hybrid role is based in Lehi, UT, with in-office collaboration required on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
