DailyPay is seeking a Payments Operations Analyst I to join the Core Payments Operations team. This role executes on high-volume, data-rich payment processing and reconciliation tasks, working cross-functionally with ops-loss operations, client success, support, and customer solutions teams.
Key responsibilities include processing high-volume payment files and performing complex user account reconciliations with high accuracy; consuming and analyzing data from multiple internal and external sources to troubleshoot and resolve payment processing issues; identifying, investigating, and resolving payment and product issues using available systems and tools, with escalation to appropriate stakeholders as needed; investigating unique user use cases to identify friction points and provide data-backed recommendations for operational workflow improvements; contributing to departmental efficiency by identifying and suggesting improvements to standard operating procedures; and working on ad hoc projects and operational tasks as needed.
The role requires adherence to departmental standards for accuracy, efficiency, and service level agreements. The position is fully remote with a set schedule of Monday to Friday, 8 AM–5 PM CT, though flexibility to work outside normal business hours may occasionally be required.
Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree and 1+ years of experience in payments, financial operations, or banking. Ideal candidates demonstrate strong initiative and proactive problem-solving abilities, excel in Excel and project management with meticulous attention to detail, thrive in fast-paced team environments, communicate clearly and concisely, and can translate technical payment issues for non-technical stakeholders.
