Wise is seeking an exceptional Payment Operations Regional Product Specialist to join the North America Payment Operations team in Austin. This is a dynamic, high-impact role at the intersection of Product, Engineering, and Operations, focused on scaling payment systems for USD and CAD markets.
Key responsibilities include:
• Audit and optimize USD/CAD payment routes to identify and eliminate manual friction points, building automation and workflow improvements to enhance efficiency.
• Act as strategic connective tissue between Product, Engineering, and Operations teams, translating technical constraints into operational reality and vice versa.
• Lead high-impact projects from scoping and data analysis through rollout, owning the full lifecycle and the final execution decision.
• Use SQL and LightDash to define, track, and improve KPIs that demonstrate measurable impact on payment operations.
• Mentor and guide Senior Specialists through complex project delivery, scoping, and execution, elevating team capabilities.
• Serve as the North American subject matter expert on payment operations, providing first-line strategy for complex incidents and regulatory changes.
• Establish SLAs and KPIs for new product features to ensure quality and reliability as Wise scales.

Required qualifications: 3+ years in Product Operations, Business Operations, or Process Optimization in high-growth tech. Proficiency in SQL and LightDash. Track record of executing mid-to-large-scale initiatives from concept to launch. Strong communication skills across technical and business stakeholders. Comfort with ambiguity and rapid decision-making. Bonus: deep knowledge of North American payment rails (FedWire, FedACH, FedNow, RTP).
