Zeller is a fast-growing fintech company expanding from Australia into the UK, providing payment and financial solutions for businesses of all sizes. The Payment Operations Analyst role reports to the Payment Operations and Treasury Lead and is central to ensuring seamless, secure payment processes.
Key responsibilities include managing disputes across multiple payment rails (Mastercard, Visa, FPS, BACs), serving as the expert point of contact for customers, vendors, and internal teams on transaction issues and payment scheme inquiries. You will investigate and resolve disputes, escalate critical issues, and coordinate with merchants on debt recovery.
The role also encompasses daily and monthly reconciliation of internal accounts, payment rails reporting in compliance with regulatory obligations, and continuous process improvement. You'll document procedures, refine SLAs, and assist in developing business requirements for product enhancements.
This is a hands-on, strategic position suited for a detail-oriented problem-solver who thrives in fast-paced environments. You'll need strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to work both autonomously and collaboratively.
Required experience includes a minimum of 2 years in payment operations, understanding of UK safeguarding rules, proficiency in card dispute resolution and BACs/FPS processes, and demonstrated ability to implement process improvements and handle escalations. Bonus qualifications include experience in high-growth fintech environments, SQL proficiency, and BI tools expertise.
