Wave Mobile Money is building financial services across Sub-Saharan Africa to make the continent cashless. The Partner Operations team integrates and maintains bill payment services, ensuring reliability and strong partner relationships.
In this role, you will manage operationally escalated cases from support teams, interpret user data and analytics (Sigma Charts), and communicate clearly with partners about issues, claims, and outages. Key responsibilities include collections, forecasts, and reconciliations; escalating cases to partners; coordinating with support and product teams; and writing announcements for public consumption. You'll work across all Wave operating companies, handling multiple concurrent tasks including bug triage, claims processing, and cross-departmental requests.
You'll communicate technical requirements to the engineering team independently, demonstrating persuasiveness and clarity. Strong organizational skills, multitasking ability, and proficiency with Slack and Google Suite are essential. The role requires fluency in English and a local language, a Bachelor's degree in IT or related field, and 2–3 years of comparable experience. SQL competence is a bonus. Prior experience in banking, financial services, telcos, or mobile money is valued.
This is a permanent, in-office position based in Bamako.
