Adyen is a global fintech platform providing payments, data, and financial products for major customers including Meta, Uber, H&M, and Microsoft. You will join the Optimization Data Analytics team, splitting focus equally between supporting top-tier customers and driving automation and scaling projects.
Key responsibilities include:
• Framework Development: Collaborate with cross-functional data teams to build scalable, reusable frameworks for evaluating large datasets and addressing pressing business questions.
• Data Analysis: Determine necessary data sources, extract and analyze data, draw conclusions, and provide actionable recommendations. Support key product initiatives and merchant experiments to drive 20x growth.
• Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as Adyen's SME on payment optimization for both merchants and internal stakeholders.
• Data Strategy: Shape next-generation BI and data infrastructure. Build self-service tools for business users and contribute to automation and scaling initiatives.
• Storytelling: Transform findings into compelling narratives and actionable advice. Present insights to internal teams and directly to major global brands.
• Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with Account Managers, Product teams, and peer analysts. Gather requirements, provide insights, and communicate findings clearly.
• Technical Contributions: Write complex, high-performing Python and SQL queries. Perform robust data manipulations using advanced statistical techniques. Develop and optimize data pipelines with PySpark and Big Data tools. Design ETLs ensuring data consistency. Create and optimize LookML models and Looker dashboards.

Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Data & Analytics
• Advanced proficiency in PySpark and Python
• Strong analytical and data wrangling skills
• Experience with descriptive and inferential statistics (distributions, correlations, hypothesis testing, regressions)
• Expertise in leveraging data for actionable insights and crafting compelling data stories for executives
• Experience with data visualization platforms (Looker, Tableau)
• Familiarity with Big Data tools (Spark, Airflow) and Git version control
• Ability to design and develop efficient, scalable ETL and data pipelines with automated validation
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with global, multicultural teams
• FinTech or Payments experience is a plus
