Thatch is seeking an Operations Specialist to join the Carrier Operations team, which connects health insurance carriers with product, support, and engineering teams. This role is critical for scaling operational workflows and executing processes that support the company's mission to simplify healthcare delivery.
You will focus on execution within key operations functions, supporting operational OKRs and day-to-day queue management. A primary responsibility is payment reconciliation—ensuring accurate matching of incoming payments to expected receivables, monitoring automated tools, and resolving discrepancies to maintain financial data integrity. This complex function is vital for financial accuracy and directly impacts member trust and satisfaction.
Key responsibilities include:
- Execute and assist with payment reconciliation systems, monitoring tools, and resolving discrepancies
- Support daily operational workflows by managing task pipelines and ensuring timely completion of operational tasks to meet SLAs
- Contribute to improvements in enrollment and payment infrastructure by testing new features, documenting workflows, and collaborating with engineering and product teams
- Assist with escalations from the Support team and communicate outcomes to stakeholders
You should have 1–3 years of operations, consulting, or related experience at a high-growth startup or professional services firm. A track record of building project teams, launching initiatives, and creating effective operational processes in ambiguous environments is essential. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills are required, along with a Bachelor's degree.
Experience in health insurance or benefits, process improvements with measurable results, and diverse job experience with proven impact are particularly valued. This is an opportunity to work on a complex, high-impact function within a mission-driven healthtech company.
