SimpleClosure is building infrastructure to streamline business dissolution—a $4M+ market opportunity affecting nearly 4 million companies annually. The company has raised over $20M from leading VCs and serves 7,000+ clients, handling everything from legal and tax to operational and administrative requirements, plus connecting founders with asset buyers.
As Operations Specialist, you'll be the primary point of contact guiding founders through company shutdown from start to finish. You'll translate complex legal, tax, and administrative requirements into clear, actionable plans while providing high-touch client support.
Key responsibilities include: serving as main contact for clients, introducing personalized shutdown plans, addressing queries and concerns throughout the dissolution process, documenting and optimizing processes for efficiency, collaborating with internal teams on issue resolution, maintaining organized records of dissolution activities, coordinating with external parties (government agencies, legal counsel, regulatory bodies) for compliance, and proactively identifying process improvements.
You'll use Slack, Google Suite, Notion, and other remote tools for communication and documentation. The role requires deep understanding of SimpleClosure's services, legal requirements around business shutdown, and exceptional customer service with empathy and professionalism.
Ideal candidates have a bachelor's degree, startup experience (preferred), strong multitasking and follow-through abilities, excellent written and spoken English, exceptional problem-solving and interpersonal skills, and experience in operations, legal, or accounting (a plus).
