As an Operations Specialist based in Lisbon, you will be the backbone of Airspace's operations team, working on the front lines to ensure every order succeeds. Your primary focus is setting up new orders containing the most time-sensitive commodities, providing proactive customer updates on any deviations, and tracking order status from start to finish.
Key responsibilities include:
**Operating the Airspace Platform:** Set up new orders by adhering to standard work practices and client-specific SOPs. Rapidly move between critical tasks while managing all orders in your view. Verify that drivers have picked up or recovered correct items. Accurately confirm flight departures using AWB tracking. Follow all process and communication standards. Stay current on system features and process changes.
**Proactive Customer Updates:** Follow customer delay notification preferences and provide timely updates via their preferred communication method. Anticipate potential issues (weather, traffic) and offer alternative solutions to meet or beat delivery deadlines.
**Intuitive Problem Solving:** Update, manage, and change airway bills as needed. Source driver coverage for any order segment. Apply training and knowledge to find creative solutions to common or uncommon issues. Follow escalation procedures guided by senior team members.
You'll work in direct communication with customers, commanders, and agent service providers, with extreme attention to detail. The ability to catch small details can be the difference between success and failure—sometimes literally saving lives.
