Octopus Energy is a global energy technology company revolutionizing the energy market with a mission to make globally needed energy 100% sustainable. Beyond green electricity tariffs, the company has been installing complete heat pump solutions with in-house technicians since 2022, and is actively rolling out smart meters, e-mobility solutions, and renewable energy generation from wind and solar.
You will serve as the Operations & Scheduling Specialist for the heat pump installation division (Fokus Wärmepumpe), responsible for the data-driven planning and execution of installation teams across pre-construction and final assembly phases.
Key Responsibilities:
**Disposition, Route Planning & Weekly Optimization**: You own forward-looking, data-driven route and deployment planning for pre-construction and final-assembly teams. When cancellations or no-shows occur, you proactively steer corrective actions, compress weekly schedules, and consistently maintain target utilization rates. You coordinate closely with area managers in daily and weekly check-ins to align capacity, vacation schedules, and rework.
**Operational Execution & Logistics Interface**: You ensure perfect synchronization between material flow and installation dates so all components arrive on-site on time. When unexpected events, weather changes, or delays occur, you respond quickly, flexibly adjust material logistics, and solve operational challenges with confidence.
**Cross-functional Coordination & Customer Communication**: As the central hub, you work closely with account management, sales, warehouse, and technicians. When installation dates must shift due to weekly optimization, you personally communicate changes to end customers in a transparent, solution-focused, and reliable manner.
You will be based in Berlin with monthly team days and company events at the Heidelberg location.
**Requirements**:
- Multiple years of professional experience in dispatch, deployment planning, route optimization, logistics, or operational resource management
- Data-driven work style with ability to maintain clarity amid high dynamics and rapidly set priorities
- Maker mentality and drive to move things forward, improve processes, and actively contribute to success
- Strong communication skills and stress resilience; honest, alert, assertive team player who welcomes feedback, gives it constructively, and stays calm in hectic situations
- Flexibility and team spirit; willingness to attend monthly team days and company events at the Heidelberg office
