Upway is Europe's and USA's leading platform for selling refurbished e-bikes. In just 4 years, the company has given new life to over 100,000 e-bikes and is growing rapidly. Germany is now Upway's largest market, and they are seeking an Operations Manager to strengthen their team.
In this role, you will lead a team of warehouse staff and bicycle mechatronics specialists, serving as a motivating role model. You will design, implement, and independently manage entire sections of operational workflows. Your focus will be on ensuring customer satisfaction in all decisions, maintaining optimal daily warehouse output, and ensuring smooth operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Team leadership and performance management of warehouse and technical staff
- Process design and continuous improvement of operational procedures
- Stakeholder management with suppliers, manufacturers, and partners
- Data-driven decision-making through tools and dashboards
- Cross-departmental collaboration to support rapid growth and expansion
- Root-cause analysis and problem-solving to enhance both customer experience and operational efficiency
You should have a strong academic background in engineering, finance, logistics, business administration, or a comparable field. You bring 1–3 years of experience in operations, finance, or similar environments. You are fluent in German and English at a business level. You possess strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to lead a team in a dynamic warehouse environment. You are analytical, detail-oriented, comfortable with data analysis, and thrive in fast-paced, changing environments. You are hands-on, flexible, and willing to go the extra mile to ensure operational excellence.
