As Operations Manager, Pharmacy, you will lead and manage the pharmacy team in a mail-order pharmacy setting, overseeing pharmacists and technicians in prescription dispensing and fulfillment operations. You will be responsible for hiring, scheduling, and day-to-day operational oversight to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant pharmacy operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee pharmacist and technician workflow within the dispense and fulfillment pharmacy environment
- Lead daily huddles to drive performance, share updates, and communicate process improvements
- Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations, including licensing and training requirements
- Support and develop Area Managers and Leads in achieving operational excellence and scalability
- Execute company strategies at the fulfillment level, ensuring alignment with pharmacy goals
- Analyze performance and safety data to identify trends and improve efficiency while reducing errors
- Coordinate new process rollouts and implementation with cross-functional operations leaders
- Collaborate with the Senior Operations Manager and Pharmacist-in-Charge on standard operating procedure development and improvement
- Uphold HIPAA, FDA, and State Board of Pharmacy regulations regarding patient safety, protected health information, and drug handling
- Maintain compliance with cleanroom and sanitation standards
- Support hiring efforts by interviewing candidates for pharmacy roles
- Perform pharmacist or technician duties (order verification, drug utilization reviews, dispensing, counseling) when necessary to support the team
This role is based in New Albany, Ohio, with additional locations in Gilbert, Arizona or Los Alamitos, California. The position requires flexibility to work any shift, as Hims & Hers operates 24/7.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy (Doctorate preferred) — Required
- 5-7 years in a pharmacy supervisory role with experience managing licensed and registered pharmacy technicians — Required
- Active Pharmacist License in the pharmacy's home state, or willingness to obtain licensure upon hire — Required
- Licensed or willing to obtain licensure in multiple states — Required
- Effective knowledge of state and federal pharmacy laws, rules, and regulations
- Mail Service/Mail Order Pharmacy experience
- Ability to work flexible shift times and any shift in the Pharmacy/Fulfillment/Compounding teams
- Proficiency in English (verbal and written)
- Proficiency in Windows-based computer systems
- Ability to deliver and receive feedback effectively to individuals and groups
- Willingness to work in a team environment and promote company culture
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to lift over 30 lbs safely and independently
