Hims & Hers, a leading telehealth and health-wellness platform (NYSE: HIMS), is seeking an Operations Manager for Inventory Control at its pharmaceutical fulfillment center in New Albany, Ohio. This role combines pharmacist-level judgment on product integrity and regulatory compliance with hands-on operational ownership of inbound receiving, stowing, inventory accuracy, and fulfillment center quality assurance.
You will lead a team of salaried area managers and up to 30 hourly associates, overseeing end-to-end inventory control including receiving, inspection, stowing, and storage of pharmaceutical products. Key responsibilities include ensuring inventory accuracy, lot traceability, expiration/beyond-use-date tracking, and managing inventory reconciliation and cycle counting. You will investigate root causes of discrepancies, deploy inventory optimization strategies, and own product catalog standardization across sites.
As the primary pharmacist on the inventory control team, you will provide direct oversight of inventory-related functions, serve as sign-off authority for purity checks and Certificates of Analysis (COAs), oversee pharmacy technician workflows, and formulate inventory control protocols for pharmaceutical receipt, storage, picking, packing, and shipping. You will conduct routine inspections and quality audits, oversee pharmacy technician trainees through registration, and prepare internal reports supporting defect-injection improvement efforts.
You will maintain thorough command of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements as applied to inventory operations, conduct and oversee quarterly SOX counts, and build counting schedules aligned with compliance deadlines. You will also partner with safety leadership to enhance processes and maintain a safe work environment, facilitate weekly safety meetings, and identify and mitigate risks associated with inventory inconsistencies or process inefficiencies.
Additionally, you will design and implement process optimization strategies using lean principles, lead continuous improvement projects, collaborate cross-functionally with logistics, compliance, and pharmacy operations teams, and create strategic insights and performance metrics for executive leadership.
Requirements:
- Active Pharmacist license (RPh or PharmD) in good standing
- Thorough understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX), including experience conducting or overseeing SOX counts
- Working knowledge of regulatory frameworks relevant to pharmaceutical distribution: state board of pharmacy regulations, DEA/controlled substance handling, Good Distribution Practices (GDP), and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMP)
- Strong analytical, root-cause, and risk management skills with ability to translate findings into process improvements
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team of salaried managers and hourly associates (up to ~30) in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Preferred:
- Prior experience in pharmaceutical operations, logistics, or inventory control
- Experience in a fulfillment center or distribution center environment
- Experience training or supervising pharmacy technicians
- Familiarity with lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies
- Demonstrated interest in people management, scheduling, and team leadership
