Salary: USD 75,000 - 90,000 / annual
Literati is a modern children's book company on a mission to help kids fall in love with reading through school book fairs, school store fundraising platforms, and book clubs. The Operations Manager will lead day-to-day fulfillment operations for the Kids Book Club, overseeing warehouse activities and ensuring books are accurately processed, packed, and shipped to families across the country.
Key responsibilities include managing daily warehouse operations to ensure smooth and efficient execution; leading, hiring, training, and supervising a team of employees and managers to meet company objectives; developing and managing budgets while monitoring financial performance and ensuring cost-effective practices; establishing policies, procedures, and goals aligned with company objectives; enforcing company policies and quality standards; and managing vendor and supplier relationships.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field, with 5+ years of operations management or similar leadership experience. Required skills include proven budget management and operational efficiency improvements, strong leadership and team management abilities, excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities, financial planning and performance analysis expertise, and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred qualifications include an advanced degree (MBA or equivalent), warehouse/logistics/supply chain management experience, proficiency in operations management software and tools, and familiarity with process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
