The Operations Manager role is a hands-on leadership position responsible for overseeing daily warehouse and field operations in Cedar Rapids. You will lead a local team to drive ridership growth, manage fleet deployment and repositioning, and ensure operational excellence across all metrics.
Key responsibilities include: overseeing warehouse and field operations; performing physical tasks such as moving scooters, driving vans, and maintaining equipment; setting and managing daily routes for hourly associates; identifying operational gaps and developing solutions; driving timely submission of fleet health data and maintenance requests; recruiting and training local team members; ensuring compliance with city agreements and company SOPs; and managing inventory and parts ordering.
You will be measured on your ability to drive daily ridership, lead a high-performing team, and deliver exceptional customer service. This is a fully onsite role requiring a self-directed leader with a history of thriving in fast-paced environments.
Ideal candidates have a bachelor's degree and 1-2 years of operations management experience in fleet, warehousing, distribution, or delivery environments. You should be comfortable lifting 60 lbs routinely, have an ownership mindset with bias for action, excel at prioritizing multiple tasks, and be willing to work varied days and shifts. Strong quantitative decision-making, exceptional communication, and passion for sustainable transportation are essential.
