As an Operations Expert for Aerospace & Defense, you will be the highest-level resource for your sector—the person leadership and account managers turn to when complex escalations need resolution. This is a senior individual contributor role that builds on mastery of operations fundamentals.
Key responsibilities include:
**Resolve Escalated Issues**: Independently handle all escalations from teammates, account managers, and leadership. Serve as the key knowledge point for complex shipments and sector-specific situations. Contribute reference materials and knowledge to support account-level improvements.
**Coach and Lead in Real Time**: Guide teammates through live issues and volume fluctuations, not retroactively. Evaluate process adherence and identify training opportunities. Support workload balancing and prioritization within your sector.
**Monitor Live Operations**: Monitor service platforms (ticketing, calling, dashboards) and allocate team resources appropriately. Track on-shift team activity and process adherence. Monitor high-visibility and swarm-level orders.
**Expert Platform Mastery**: Maintain certifications required for the expert tier. Quote and source specialized transport (on-board courier, charter). Identify and resolve platform-level issues.
You must be able to perform all responsibilities of an Operations Specialist III, plus these expanded expert-level duties. This role requires deep sector knowledge, real-time decision-making under pressure, and the ability to mentor and guide a remote team.
