Base Power is rebuilding America's electricity infrastructure by deploying distributed battery networks to transform the centralized grid into a resilient, abundant system. The Operations Engineer, GTM role exists to build systems that keep the go-to-market engine fast, accurate, and scalable.
You'll work across Sales, Marketing, and Engineering to design better workflows, connect data across systems, and build tools that help GTM teams move faster and operate more effectively. This is ideal for someone who enjoys understanding how people work, translating that into system design, and building lightweight technical solutions. You won't be a full-time engineer, but you should feel comfortable working with data, APIs, and internal tools.
Key responsibilities include: optimizing how leads, customers, and processes move through systems; identifying bottlenecks and improving operational efficiency; designing workflows, automations, and internal tools; collaborating with Engineering on data pipelines and CRM integrations; building scalable prototypes leveraging AI and modern technologies; improving the operating system connecting Sales, Marketing, and CS; and building a roadmap based on GTM needs and data insights.
You bring 2+ years in product, growth, sales ops, revops, data engineering, or similar roles. You're a systems thinker who understands how processes fit together across teams. You have experience with CRM tools and GTM teams, comfort with technical concepts including APIs and automation tools, and ability to build simple tools using Zapier, Retool, or basic full-stack frameworks like Next.js/FastAPI. You communicate well with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, have familiarity with SQL or scripting, and can quickly build reports and drive action from insights.
Base operates as a lean, high-ownership team across marketing, sales, support, product, and design. The company values first-principles thinking, operating at pace, direct feedback, ownership, strong opinions loosely held, commitment to mission, and balancing collaboration with intensity. Work is in-person and all-in.
