Payoneer, a global financial platform founded in 2005, is seeking an experienced Operations Director for its China payment license entity (PPG) specializing in cross-border payments. This role reports directly to the General Manager of the China license entity. You will lead business operations for the China entity, overseeing customer KYC/onboarding, transaction processing, payments review and approval, transaction audits, and daily reconciliation. Your focus will be on improving operational efficiency and service level agreements (SLAs) by collaborating with product teams to optimize workflows and enhance customer experience. Key responsibilities include: - Defining and building operational solutions and flows for the China license entity's products and business - Managing end-to-end KYC strategy, performance, and quality for customer onboarding - Establishing operational frameworks and guidelines for managed operations policies - Driving continuous improvement through training initiatives and process optimization - Leading operational excellence initiatives to optimize KPI and SLA performance - Overseeing documentation procedures, writing, updating, and re-engineering as needed - Leading successful deployment of projects and implementations for the region - Serving as a Line of Defense Process Owner for risk controls, identification, mitigation, and reporting - Exploring and improving operational platforms and tools - Collaborating across Greater China operations functions - Growing and developing a talented operations team with an inclusive, collaborative, results-oriented culture Required qualifications: - 10+ years of payment business operations experience in China cross-border payments, domestic payments, and banking - 5+ years of leadership experience managing teams - Bachelor's degree or above - Deep understanding of Chinese payment and cross-border payment systems, regulatory compliance, AML, and industry best practices - Demonstrated ability to drive alignment and execution across multiple functions - Experience leading China PSP RMB/FX cross-border payment products and businesses - In-depth knowledge of China cross-border e-commerce and payment scenarios - Strong leadership ability to manage operations teams effectively - Professional-level English proficiency (reading and writing)
