In this role, you will serve as an Operations Associate within Brokerage Operations, providing registered supervision over inter-dealer market making activity in corporate securities and margin lending and financing. You will act as a key control point for the business, reviewing and approving trading and margin activity, maintaining supervisory procedures, and serving as the escalation point for issues surfaced by the trading, onboarding, and operations teams. You will help shape the supervisory framework that keeps the firm compliant as Atomic scales its broker-dealer capabilities and brings new products and activities online.
Day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing daily trading operations, monitoring real-time profit and loss (PnL), and managing risk limits across proprietary or agency trading desks. You will issue and verify margin calls, handle day-trading account rules, set house collateral haircuts, and resolve branch and client escalations. This is a hands-on role where you own supervisory responsibility for market making and underwriting activity rather than simply signing off on it.
Ideal candidates will have prior experience in onboarding, securities lending, or other brokerage operational activities, with underwriting and corporate actions experience as a bonus.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Active Series 57 and Series 24 licenses (required)
- Three to five years of direct experience overseeing trading and/or margin
- Demonstrated experience supervising inter-dealer market making activity in corporate securities
- Deep subject matter expertise in Reg T and FINRA Rule 4210, portfolio margin
- Comfort operating in a fast-moving, high-growth environment with evolving processes
- Candidates who do not meet all requirements must have direct experience in at least one of: inter-dealer market making in corporate securities or margin financing
