Tycho.AI, spun out of MIT and backed by DoD contracts, is building autonomous intelligence solutions for unmanned systems in GPS-denied and contested environments. The company operates at the intersection of national security and commercial innovation, with applications spanning defense, logistics, and disaster response. As Operations Associate, you will be the organizational backbone, managing day-to-day office operations, financial administration, and executive support. Your responsibilities span multiple domains: office management (supplies, equipment, vendors, facilities, visitor coordination), workplace culture (employee events, morale initiatives, onboarding/offboarding), financial administration (expense reports, invoices, accounts payable, vendor management), and cross-functional problem-solving. You'll coordinate logistics for meetings, customer engagements, and corporate events while maintaining accurate records and documentation. You'll support leadership with administrative tasks, manage vendor relationships and recurring payments, and identify opportunities to improve operational processes as the company scales. This is a hands-on role requiring flexibility and ownership—you'll work alongside highly technical engineers and be comfortable operating in ambiguity without always having a detailed playbook. The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of professional experience in operations, office management, business administration, or finance administration. You're organized, detail-oriented, adaptable, and resourceful. You communicate clearly, proficiently use productivity tools (Google Workspace, Confluence, Jira, Expensify), and thrive in startup environments where priorities shift and responsibilities evolve. You don't need to be a technical expert but should be comfortable learning and engaging with technical teams. You're a people person who enjoys making things happen behind the scenes and can manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
