Marshmallow is a unicorn fintech (founded 2017, £140M+ raised, 700+ employees) on a mission to make migration easy. They've built insurance products for migrants and are now launching Car Finance—a new lending product bringing fairly priced car loans to newcomers in the UK for the first time.
You'll join the Car Finance team as an Operations Associate, working in a small, high-performing unit where everyone has real ownership. The role combines hands-on operations (customer queries, collections, underwriting) with a strong focus on automation and AI-powered processes. You'll execute day-to-day operations while helping design and build a world-class, highly automated operational engine.
Key responsibilities:
- Execute day-to-day car finance operations: handle customer queries, underwriting, and ensure smooth experiences for customers and partners.
- Identify and develop process improvements that increase speed, reliability, and cost-efficiency while maintaining service standards.
- Directly build automation and AI into operational workflows using best-in-class AI tools, working alongside engineering and product teams.
The team is designing highly automated, AI-powered processes to move faster and smarter than traditional lenders. You'll work closely with dealers, brokers, and customers to ensure every application, decision, and interaction is fast, fair, and easy to understand.

Requirements:
Must have:
- Experience in a fast-paced, regulated environment (fintechs, startups, consulting, etc.)
- Strong analytical skills and comfort working with data to make decisions
- Experience using AI tools to drive developments and form improvements
Nice to have:
- Familiarity with Linear, Google Suite, Notion, Intercom, or Claude
