Anduril Industries is seeking an Operations Analyst specializing in Scenario Design to join the Lattice Showcase team. This role focuses on crafting compelling, operationally credible mission demonstrations that showcase Anduril's defense technology solving real-world challenges.
You will design and develop medium- to high-fidelity mission simulations and operational scenarios that model realistic defense environments, system behaviors, and mission outcomes. Working closely with product teams, subject matter experts, and military stakeholders, you'll translate complex multi-product demonstrations into clear, engaging narratives optimized for decision-maker audiences while maintaining technical accuracy.
Key responsibilities include building and refining simulation logic, behavior trees, and system interactions that accurately represent autonomous platforms, sensors, weapons, and command-and-control behaviors. You'll develop operational models capturing radar behavior, sensor performance, platform interactions, environmental effects, and mission constraints across multi-domain scenarios. Implementation will use tools such as AFSIM, STK, MATLAB/Simulink, Python (NumPy/SciPy), or comparable modeling frameworks.
You'll create technically credible simulation environments for customer demonstrations, operational analysis, experimentation, and mission visualization. Collaboration with autonomy, software, hardware, and perception teams is essential to ensure simulation behaviors accurately reflect real system capabilities. Through iterative testing, tuning, and analysis, you'll validate scenario designs for operational realism and technical fidelity.
The role requires translating complex operational concepts into intuitive, narrative-driven showcase experiences without sacrificing technical depth. You'll work with military subject matter experts to validate tactics, mission flows, and engagement behaviors, identify modeling gaps early, and contribute to simulation architecture and best practices across the organization.
