Reporting to the Head of Risk Management, you will own the enterprise operational and resiliency risk program across a regulated, globally distributed brokerage platform. This is a builder's role requiring you to design the operational risk framework from the ground up, including enterprise risk taxonomy, appetite structure, risk assessment programs, and control assurance methodologies.
Key responsibilities include:
**Framework & Governance**: Build the enterprise operational risk taxonomy, risk appetite statements, and policy architecture. Establish and lead the operational risk forum, produce Board-level reporting with clear points of view, and create decision frameworks and escalation thresholds that hold under regulatory scrutiny.
**Product & Market Risk**: Own risk assessments for new products, partners, markets, and platform capabilities including emerging asset classes and tokenized securities. Build a change risk process that accelerates safe launches. Establish and run the RCSA program across a global, partner-dependent operating model.
**Control Standards & Assurance**: Own the enterprise methodology every risk program conforms to, including taxonomy, rating scales, and control frameworks. Build the operational control testing program covering ICOC and key controls. Aggregate output from other assurance functions into a single enterprise risk picture.
**Issue & Event Management**: Own enterprise issue management end-to-end, including methodology, intake, classification, and escalation. Build the risk event and loss database, lead root cause analysis on material events, and design a KRI framework tied to platform operations (trade volume, availability, partner onboarding, capacity).
**AI-Native Tooling**: Build AI-native tooling that makes risk management faster and more practical for risk owners across the organization.
You will partner closely with Engineering, Product, Operations, Treasury, Security, Legal, and Compliance. Success requires autonomy, ability to build practices that scale under regulatory scrutiny while maintaining business velocity, and skill in translating operational risk into actionable executive and Board decisions.
